14.1 - dissemination of Implementaiton guide.

Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone has views on whether content on a web site meets the intent of 'dissemination" per PA-DSS 14.1

This is a simple, pre-configured solution that is needs virtually no integration or configuration, other than configuring connectivity (e.g. DCHP or static IP address, WPA settings if wireless is used etc).

As long as the documentation on the Web meets 14.1, 14.1.1 and 14.1.2, why would it not meet the requirements? These requirements do not specify the media to be used, just what the documentation has to discuss.

However, I would suggest the addition of a downloadable PDF of the documentation. That would allow the customer, QSA and the like to have a portable document for their purposes without requiring Web access. It would also avoid any printing issues that can come with some Web pages. I have had issues with some application documentation that looks great on the screen but is almost impossible to print or does not save well as a file.
