Default PCI Standards Presentations

Hello all,

As part of an on-going series of education, Witham Laboratories has created two presentations discussing the different PCI standards, and how they interconnect. These presentations have been created to specifically address a lack of understanding we see in areas such as how the PCI PED program impacts PCI DSS compliance of devices such as ATMs and POS PEDs.

These two presentations are designed to be complimentary, and can be downloaded directly from here:

PCI Standards overview

PCI Standards interconnect

I apologise for not publishing the second document as a PDF - I couldn't get the animations working in that format. Any feedback people may have is, of course, welcomed.

Really thorough overview and explanation of the linkages between the various PCI and related standards (current and proposed). Adding the links to supporting documentation was a thoughtful bonus. I couldn't execute the second, .pps, deck: it said it was password protected.

Good overview...I'm sure lots of folks will be grabbing bits of it to explain PCI to their coworkers and bosses.

Hmmm. Not sure why you couldn't run the power point show. It is protected against changes, but should allow for execution. It may be a problem with Office 2007 - if other people have similar issues, please let me know and I will see what I can do to fix it.

Excellent presentation, I too could not open the .pps . It says that it is protected with DRM.

One question though, you state that the PCI DSS is revised every 2 years, I didn't think that the SSC committed to that....

For those of you who are having touble with the .pps file, I have created a PDF with animations carrying from one slide to the next. Not quite as neat, but at least you should be able to open it.
